3 Simple Steps to Getting Everything That You Want

7 09 2007

By Terry Hall – The Small Business Prophet

It seems that everyone that I talk to has some experience of Intuition. Intuition is a knowing, a 6th sense and gut felling that something will go a certain way. You know what I mean. “I shouldn’t trust this person.” “This seems to good to be true.” “Hi! I knew that it was you before I picked up the phone.” “I’ve been thinking about you for 3 days and know you call me.”

These are all examples of intuition. But most intuition seems to happen randomly or in mundane areas of life. Imagine being able to accurately and on command know what the best choice is to make in any area of your life and at any time. What would that be like?

I can tell you its magic. I have taught people to develop and use their intuitive abilities since 1987. But I kept that part of my life completely separate and a secret from my business life. Until NOW!

Here are 3 Simple Steps to Getting Everything That You Want.

  1. Meditate Daily
    1. I recommend “Power Meditation” – 2-10 minute practices each day
  2. Listen to your quiet voice of knowing
    1. Before you make any decision or choice, slow down and ask a simple Yes or No question: “Is this for my highest and best good?” Note the answer and act accordingly
    2. Begin with small decisions and choices and you will gain mastery in thei area
  3. Keep A Daily Intuitions Journal
    1. Record all of your Intuitions on a daily basis and review the results over time.

It will take time to develop 100% accuracy with your intuition, but it is absolutely possible. By practicing and tracking your results you will realize rapid progress.

“There’s never enough time to do it right, but there is always enough time to do it again”

1 08 2007

The number one complaint that I hear when I recommend meditation is the time that it takes. Time is the controlling factor for most of us in the western world.

What gets sacrificed is our health, relationships with our families, our wellbeing, eating right and exercise. The old adage, “There’s never enough time to do it right, but there is always enough time to do it again”. Intuitively we know when we are cutting corners, missing out on opportunities and lying to ourselves about what is really important.

When you start lying to yourself, it’s time to start something new. I say the answer is developing your “Business Intuition“. You see, trusting our intuition requires being complete honest with one’s self. I have been a “Business Intuitive” since 1987. I have assisted 100s of people with major life choices and decisions. Before I would dare to assist anyone else, I have to completely trust myself.

But what about time. That’s simple. You see, the only, mistakes that I have made in the past 20 years is when I did no take the time for myself. The time to meditate (clear my mind), exercise (develop a healthy lifestyle), take 1 day off a week (to rest and re-create myself). Time is an illusion. When asked to explain The Special Theory of relativity in layman’s terms, Einstein explained it like this “One minute spent sitting on a hot stove seems like and hour, but one hour spent with a lovely young lady in conversation seems but like a minute. That’s Relativity.”

Each business owner, professional and entrepreneur has areas of our life and work that seem effortless. The key key is to have those tasks be what we are paid to do. Then our time is spent blissfully in our highest purpose being paid to do what we love to do! That to me is Heaven on Earth.

Remember:

  • If you’re too busy to meditate, your just too busy.
  • If you’re too busy to exercise, your just too busy.
  • If you’re too busy to be with your family, you’re just too busy.

Business Intuition vs. Business Inspiration

23 07 2007

I had an excellent weekend. It was a time to relax, re-create and recover from our busy Southern California lifestyle.

In a conversation with a friend, the topic of intuition vs. inspiration came up and I had never really thought about it before. So here is what we came up with…

Intuition is knowing the outcome of a future event before it happens (Business Intuition is knowing the outcome of a future Business Event before it happens). You see all future events cast a shadow before them and our intuition is the tool that allows us to see the future. The closer the event the clearer the shadow appears, but the future is not cast in stone, it is simply a probability. We always have at least two choices for the intuitive information that we receive – we can take actions to make the outcome happen or we can take actions to avoid that outcome – and the choice is yours. The event is either something we want to have happen or something we do not want to have happen.

Inspiration is an internal feeling that creates the experience of effortless effort. The best part about inspiration is that it is simply a choice. I feel that the story of the two brick makers best illustrates inspiration . A Master Mason was traveling to his next job, a Cathedral being built on a hill over looking the ocean. He came upon a man that was dirty, smelly and sweating with a grimace on his face. The Master Mason asked the man what he was doing and the man replied making bricks, but there wasn’t enough straw, the soil was bad, there quota impossible and that he had not had a day off in over two months. The Master Mason was sorry that he asked. About 1000 yards further down the road, he came upon another man that was dirty, smelly and sweating with a smile on his face humming an uplifting tune. When he asked this man what he was doing and the bricker smiled at the Master Mason and replied I am building a Cathedral, a home for God. A place for this area to come together and celebrate their own divinity. The Master Mason smiled and continued on his way.

Intuition is a tool that allows us to know what actions are best to take to get what we want in life. Inspiration is the choice we make moment by moment about how we take our actions.

The Perfect Work Day – Using Business Intuition

19 07 2007

My experience is that every time I turn around, the more there is to get done and the longer it takes. The way that I manage is to have a regular meditation practice which develops my Business Intuition.

I plan my day then using my Business Intuition, I see what will take longer, what has to be done and what can wait. I also get a sense of how much unscheduled time I need to plan for fires and unexpected problems.

You too can develop yourself as a Business Intuitive and increase profits, success and balance.

Using Intuition in Business

18 07 2007

Each day it seems there are more and more distractions that keep us from accomplishing our goals in business and in our personal lives. Developing Business Intuition is an essential skill for today’s busy business owner, business professional or entrepreneur.

Developing Business Intuition is both an art and a science. Business Intuition is an art because is seems unpredictable and unreliable. Business Intuition is a science because it can be systematically developed over time. The problem that most businesses have is that they want everything right now. Instant results, instant gratification, instant answers all dominate our western culture. Business Intuition is not an instant solution it is however a timeless tradition.

Here are the 3 things you can start doing today to develop your Business Intuition:

  1. Start a daily meditation practice.
  2. Plan your day on pape noticing where you “know” what will happen (good and bad) with each task.
  3. Keep an Intuition Journal where you write down your intuitions for later evaluation.

When most people learn that developing their Business Intuition starts with these 3 simple tasks, their mind says “I don’t have time…” and that is the reason that their businesses are not producing the results, profits and fulfillment that they want.

Stephen Covey said it best in “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People“. Paraphrased: You have to take time to sharpen your saw. Developing your Business Intuition is sharpening your saw. It’s up to each one of us to prioritize our activities to accomplish our goals.

  • Educate and Train business owners the skills necessary to be a “Business Owner” that earns money whether you show up to work or not.
  • Educate and Train business owners to develop and trust their intuition.

  • Have fun, attract friends and travel around the world!
